How long does it take for fine dolomite lime to become available to the plants? Also I am watering till runoff, will that wash out the dolomite?

Anytime you water there will be leeching. So yes you'll lose some and some will get used and stored by any mycorrhiza that's there... The bulk of it will be working in cation land in he soil and some will get absorbed by the plant.. the mycorrhiza are the best way to get the calcium into the plant, that's assuming you used calcitic lime and not dolomitic lime... For organic alternatives, washed and powdered oyster shells work great, they also contain trace elements as well.. if you don't mind using base salts, calcium nitrate is a great source of calcium in solution, just watch the pH, it can be quite acidic and will lower it.. a small amount of Epsom salt with a pinch of chelated iron and you've got yourself a CalMag. Cheers!
