However, with a colder climate and a higher pot, it is possible to use Sub irrigation without the aid of pumps. I turn on the pump during the 4 hours of sun q is when the reservoir gets hotter.

@MrKen,yes bro, I used a basket, shaped like a cone, which is fitted in a bowl. So 1/3 of the basket is in the water. It is working well and the first roots are already appearing at the bottom of the basket.

@anti_bomb_squad,I'm putting fertilizers right in the reservoir. As my pot is shallow, it is getting very wet, so I am avoiding wetting the soil.
