Hi mate, so ideal light hight would probably be where you are at now. You will be able to tell by how much they are growing. If they are focusing on height then it needs lowering. If the leaves are looking a little droopy before lights out, then it needs raising a little. They will tell you what they want. In regards to watering, more water less frequently. Water when the pot feels really light.. water until 20% of the water runs out of the bottom. If your not getting enough good air flow through the plant it may be advisable to remove them lowest leaves touching the soil.

I'd say she has a little ways to go yet. Keep on. The breeder's flowering period is just a guideline, it's by no means a bible of how the plant will grow.
