5 of 10 seeds popped out. 50% germination rate not really good this time. Does not know of i am the problem or the seeds :) this is my second nft grow and i think 5 plants are enough for me. Previous nft grow was much work with 9 plants and not controllable for me ๐Ÿ˜…

Your problem is your ph is out. 5.5 to 6.0 in veg and 6.0 to 6.5 in flower.

Hey friend, I saw your diary and it seems you have a calmag deficiency. I would add some calmag, you had brown spots on the leaf and thatโ€™s a sign. Hope it helps โ˜บ๏ธ

Hallo, I have some spots on leaves due to calcium deficencie and it has stoped spreading above leaves by adding calmag to the nutrient solution. We talk about 2 single leaves per plant (max 3 leaves). Should I cut them of because they need energy to recover or does it not care?

You can leave them until they are completely yellow, it won't harm your plants, they just look a bit untidy. While ever there is still some green in them, they will still be photosynthesising and making some energy for your plant to use for growth, and while not a lot, it is still a lot more than if they were not there! Besides, as they go yellow, your plant will be translocating carbs, sugars, amino acids etc from the damaged leaves to be used in other parts of the plant where growth is occurring. Again, their removal will just deprive your plant of some goodness that it has already made, and while only small in quantity, it is a lot more than if the leaves were removed, for purely cosmetic reasons. Remember too, all the plants' energy is made in the leaves, so removing them will just reduce the amount of energy your plant can make. Unfortunately, once burnt like this, the affected leaves will not recover, so leaving them until they are completely yellow before removing them is actually the best thing you can do for your plant. If, as you seem to think, your plants need "energy to recover", removing the leaves will mean there is less energy being made, therefore any type of "recovery" will take even longer due to the reduction in energy making capacity. So, no need to remove them, they are not harming your plant and if you did remove them, "recovery" will take longer, plus you are also removing a source of ready made elements that she can/could use to aid in that "recovery". Your plant "knows" what it is doing and once the leaves have passed their usefulness, they will fall off without any human intervention needed. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Watertemperature 22 ยฐC, 100 L reservoir (changed every week),Start EC 1.0 and drops to 0.8 at end of week, Ph adjusted daily to 5.8, tent temperature day 27 ยฐC and at night 20 ยฐC, humidity 55%. I add calmag to EC 0.4 and canna aqua until EC 1. Why does my ph drop over night?

Your ph is dropping due to your plants up taking more water than nutrients. It leaves a higher concentration than when you first mixed. If they were taking more food then your ph would drift up. I used a growboss ph & nutrient meter for constant monitoring when I grew rdwc. Try lowering your ph to 5.8, that is the sweet spot for veg. 6.2 6.3 in flower. Cheers

Does somebody know why this happens and how I can stop it? I had the same issue last grow and this will become worse. Some data: humidity 55%, water temp 21 ยฐC, tent temp day 27 ยฐC and at night 21 ยฐC, EC lowered to 0.7 (befor 1), Ph 5.7 to 6. I grow in a nft system with 100L.

Looks like a calmag issue to me my man. Wilting leaves comes from usually three things, too much water, not enough water, or two much direct light. Hope this help boss!
