Forgot to mention - C3 Buddy is an Auto Fem Unknown Strain (Aussie Baked Beans, sold as 3 mix pack) Notes: - C3 Buddy developing well. However, stem looks lanky...possibly stretching from too less light? - C2 Mary on Day 5 after transplant (now on week 3) looking greener and healthier. However, developed a white spot? - Ordered VIPARSPECTRA 600W Dimmable LEDs and a 60x60x160cm grow tent to work with for proper lighting and heating, wish me luck with set up! C2 Mary - Diagnosis of white spot leads me to believe it could be fungi. Hope not as it's only 1 spot and not mites either as I see no bugs around... - Possibly something was in the shot glass worth of compost tea I gave it C3 Buddy - Looking a bit stretchy, could possibly be from crap grow lights i got off Amazon. - Tested with Photone app on iphone, and lux reading was 1500-2000 at night (this was measured with phone right up against lights) - Will be ordering VIPARSPECTRA 600W LEDs from Amazon for a better grow light ($80) Update: To help with the stretchy stalk on C3, have started using my finger daily to push the stem lightly left and right.

Yellowing Leave (see Day 32 Photos) - Noticed a few leaves are yellowish on their tips & pointing downwards - I'm getting quite worried on whether this means they have: Nute burn? Light burn? Any tips or advice, is my plant ok? In soil (premium planting mix) w/ 20% perlite

Hey homie its definitely not a goner!! youre doing good just ran into an issue dont give up on her, give her a phd flush and check your run off ensure its not too high and is within .4 of what you put in. then i notice some deficencys all round, yellowing on outer leaves, some rust spots coming up and brighter faded colour leaves coming which is possibly nitro i believe so i reckon give her a flush and ensure her ph and ppms are running at a steady and ok level and then give her a half dose feeding maybe even 1/4 feeding to recommended feed guide if possible and she should straighten back out. will check back in future :) good luck mate

Hey All, The first grow has had a lot of ups and downs but has been an awesome learning experience! Was Wondering if anyone could give a steer on how many weeks left before Harvest? Also, when should I stop nutes and start flushing / giving only plain ph'd water? Thanks!

About another 3-4 weeks, perhaps 5, depending on the strain and your preferred effect from the flowers. Harvest when 95% of the pistils are brown for a THC induced mind bending head high and start plain water once the plant gets to about 90% brown pistils. Harvest when there are 100% brown pistils for a CBD induced sedating body stone and start with the plain water at around the 95% brown pistil stage. Let your preferred type of effect guide your harvest timing, - with the guides I have given you, "flushing" usually lasts about two weeks before harvest. Personally, I don't see a need to pH the flush water, I don't want ANY chemicals to afffect my buds right before harvest! Plain tap water is fine and pH will not affect your plant that close to harvest as all growing has stopped and it is only a matter of ripening, which pH does not act upon. I have been using the "pistil colour method" for 25+ years and am sure of its accuracy, unlike judging harvest timing based only on trichome colour, as some plants will never develop amber trichomes and others can have 75%+ amber trichomes after only 4 weeks of flowering. Besides, pistil colour is a direct reflection of plant health, where as trichome colour on its own is not, and it is plant health that determines trichome chemical composition, where as trichome colour does not effect trichome chemical composition. There are too many variables in plant genetics to say "harvest when there are 30% amber trichomes", as this broad statement can not hold true for every cannabis strain and every growing situation to make it a 100% reliable "rule". Pistil colour on the other hand is 100% observable and 100% identifiable, making it 100% quantifiable and for 100% of cannabis plants and is completely independant of genetics, growing conditions and calendars. The amount of people who I have seen in this forum, desperate to harvest near dead and grossly over mature plants while waiting for the magical "30% amber" to appear, as if it were the gospel truth, is staggering, and makes my heart ache to think they have spent all that time and effort and sadly ended up harvesting flowers that makes you fall asleep and do not get you high, due to greatly degraded cannabinoids as a result of being so over ripe and a plant that is so close to death that there is no active metabolism any more, which is what causes the cannabinoids to break down. Enough preaching! (but I do feel better now having got that off my chest!) Hope this helps, Organoman.
