Leaves look a bit droppy. Maybe i overwatered or underwatered not sure, what do you guys think? Should i move down the blurple to give it a little more light? By next week my other grow is ready for harvest so its under the super bright XS1500 so hopefully it will look better then.

I want to follow up with Bloom City Silica next before the first dose of FFGB i know i can't mix the Cal-mag or silica with the FFGB but what about a silica and cal-mag mix for normal waterings on the water-water-nutes cycles?

who said you cant mix cal mag with silica ? Thats preposterous you can certainly mix the cal mag and silica with what ever nutrient you have though just keep an eye on the ec level so you dont overfeed :)

Hello sashatt it is not a yellowing due to maturing. It is because you don't give her enough nutrients so your plant is consuming the nitrogen in the leaves. Try to increase a bit your dose of nutes and it will be fine. Good luck. Bye

How do i see the trichomes clearly to tell if to harvest or not, with a loupe ad just seems as though all are like little white dots. I have a Carson Microbrite, the clear trichomes appear clearly but its near impossible to use with my shaky hands and without being very close.

I use a pocket microscope at 60x power and the trichomes are still a bit small but big enough to see clear/cloudy/amber. Unfortunately the laws of physics make the depth of field (what is in focus) of anything very small. It doesn't matter if it's an electronic magnifier, a cheap plastic pocket microscope or an expensive microscope, the distance that is in focus is very small. The higher the magnification the smaller the zone that is in focus so use the lowest power that allows you to see. I have a neurological condition that causes my hands to shake and sometimes very badly. With my pocket microscope I put my pinkie finger on the end of the magnifier. Then I rest that pinkie finger on the plant so the magnifier and plant move together. I also sit cross legged on the floor and put both elbows on my knees and hold the magnifier with both hands forming a triangle. Then when pushed against my face it gets more stable. Still, I can't do it on bad days when my shaking is acting up. If you have a serious problem I would get a desk type electronic or optical microscope. Then use small scissors or snips to take a small sample piece and put under the microscope. That way you aren't touching or holding anything.

Hey my much more experienced grow mates do i remove the fan leaves now in the last week and dry trim the rest after? I live in a really hot climate, how do i prevent terpene loss during drying & how long should i dry for? Finally how long do i cure for and any recommendations?

I do a full "wet" trim at harvest. I work with branches in as large a sections as I can work with while trimming. This is just because it's easier to hang 10 big pieces than 30 smaller bits. Drying time depends a lot on temperature and relative humidity. Lower humidity and higher temperatures will make drying proceed faster. When I think they are getting close I start bending the stems. When too wet a stem will mostly just bend while if too wet it will snap like a dry twig. When I sorta get a break with some mushing and the two sides remain attached it's about done. Try to dry slowly. Most of mine take about a week but I think slowing it down to two weeks would be better. For curing I cut off the buds and put them into a airtight container. Glass jars work well but my favorite are stainless steel bento boxes because they don't break. Light can't get in. And the large surface area allows for great ventilation when you "burp" during the cure. I put a cheap digital humidity sensor in each container and shoot for 58-62% relative humidity during the cure. If you plant to smoke your product take a small sample when your buds finish drying. Smoke it and take notes of what you think. Then every week during cure take another sample and give it a smoke. This will let you taste & smell how it changes during the cure so you can determine how far you want to go. I personally consider 2 weeks to be the minimum and three weeks is my sweet spot. Going longer does produce a smoother smoke but you get diminishing returns over time. There is a huge change during the 1st week, less during the 2nd and so on.
