I run in 100% perlite. When it's time to flush I give every plant a heavy 10 gallon flush initially then just change the water in my reservoir every day for about a week. I pump nutrients to my plants recirculating 24 hours a day all the time though. Once you give that initial flush most of your nutrients and salts should be pretty much gone. I dont see a real need to continually flush it.
