Hey there Chief, the most imporant is to make yourself look good so the best thing is to just make up an age that is helping you do that. Second method is from seed that means from the first moment you start the seed. Third method is to start from the day of the first transplant (from the propagator to the pot), and actually the last method is simple, just grow the seedling for a while, then after a couple weeks, when it's not really a seedling anymore then you start counting. That's what i've seen so far, i use the method counting from sprout. Hope this helps !

From my experience so far with humidity, get a humidifier and/or a dehumidifier. I couldnt drop a bunch of cash on them so I got mine on kijiji used but in good shape. 60$ CAD for a humidifier that will take care of 1500 sq. Ft easily and 100$ CAD for the dehumidifier that does about the same. I just dont see any other options that are manageable and humidity is so important. I had an issue with low humidity in the winter and when I added a little humidifier into the tent that just didnt work, so I got a bigger one. Instead of just trying to raise the RH in the tent I raised the house RH and everything was perfect. Now I'm coming into spring and the RH is rising so I'll be slowly switching over to dehumidifier. If you do go out and get a dehumidifier I'm sure that you wont regret it. It makes life easier! You can use the water from the dehumidifier as distilled water for your plants as well from what I've heard. I'll be trying that this year. Good luck with your plants!
