Mexican Airlines II... All Aboard Again

SUNDAY - Nothing MONDAY - 1.5 Gallon w/Nutrients TUESDAY - Nothing WEDNESDAY - 1.5 Gallon w/Nutrients THURSDAY - Nothing FRIDAY - 1.5 Gallon w/Nutrients SATURDAY - Nothing Buds are starting to come in nicely, so this week is about feeding and stripping. Get your dollar bills out. This was a solid week to strip leaves. The canopy was getting dense so I pulled leaves that weren't attached to bud sites. Stripping helps with light penetration which is great for lower bud sites. However it's also a good time to look at the plant and decide if the lower buds are worth keeping. While I like to keep as many bud sites as possible the reality is not every site is going to give you good bud in the end. I decided to also lollipop a bit. This means cutting off any bud sites that don't look like they have the same level of development as sites mid-way up the plant. It's a heartbreaking thing to do since it feels like you are losing out in your final harvest BUT the buds higher up the plant will be better off because of it. Feedings have been consistent with flower nutrients and steady amounts of water. The TDS will probably start getting pretty high soon as I start to increase nutrient amounts in various stages of flower but the plant is hungry and needs the constant feed of nutes. Next week I will switch to mid-flower nute schedule. Lighting has been turned all the way up to a lux that makes sense for flower, which is a minimum of 65,000 lux. This plant has become a little too tall and some of the tallest colas are starting to touch the light. I will have to mount it higher to accommodate. I don't want colas ruined because they have no where to grow.
