Had to add in the second CFL light for the runt of the litter. I accidentally dropped the pot and had to replant it last week. Amazingly, it has bounced back, but is way behind its other two sisters. First time grower, trying to do it on the cheap. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, thanks!

I understand you want an organic grow using stuff around your house, so I don't expect you to select nor agree with my answer. However, I want to make sure you get a macro view. Hopefully you'll read it over. I'm doing a fairly cheap grow right now (other than a small tent, an LED light, and a fan/charcoal filter setup with a rheostat, but that's all reusable for many years). I bought a $12 bottle of Miracle Grow 12-4-8 for the veg phase (has some other trace elements too); a $25 bottle of CaliMagic for all phases which has calcium, magnesium and some other trace elements; a bottle of pH up and a bottle of pH down to keep it in the 6.2-ish range that came as a kit for $20, and a couple $4 bottles of Dr Schultz 2-7-7 cactus food for flowering phase. I ended up splurging $95 on some stuff called Bud Blaster for week 3+ of flowering because I saw results on the other diaries and actually saw results on my plants within 24 hours (yes really), but it was totally unnecessary -- the cactus food was doing fine. So minus the expensive Bud Blaster, everything else together was about $70 -- *I've barely used any of it for growing 2 plants so far up to and almost now through the 3rd week of flowering.* I have enough for many, many grows. I'm actually thinking some of it might expire before I get through it! Some people laugh at Miracle Grow but if you get the right N-P-K ratio it does the job just fine, the plants don't care where it comes from. Cheap, easy, instant nutrients that don't have to biodegrade first. Every week I feed nutrients on Friday, then flush on Tuesday. Though I have been buying distilled water, but I ordered all the parts to build a still, just waiting on the massive teapot that's coming on the slowboat from China :D Then I can start a fire outside (I live on a farm, something we do all the time) and use it to boil the water for the still. Oh and I bought a $20 pH meter off Amazon that had a 4.5 star rating, and $12 for 800 sheets of litmus paper just to double check when I feel like it. There are also plenty of high quality organic nutrient solutions you can buy that will insta-deliver just like the ones I'm using, but they are generally much more expensive, which is why I didn't take that route.

There are a lot of things you can use to supplement nutrients for every stage of growth. The #1 thing is to compost your food waste. Leafy greens and coffee grounds add nitrogen, egg shells for calcium, banana peels for potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium. You can compost most foods except meats and dairy because they will smell. Composting usually takes a while to break down and be ready for use. You can also make compost teas if you buy some microbes. You add microbes to water, aerate with an air pump and airstone and add stuff like banana peels to feed the microbes and give them something to break down. Youll wind up with a foamy frothy concoction that you feed your plants to boost the microbes living in the root system of your plants. One nice thing about using microbes and compost is the fact that its all organic means that things break down slowly and its harder to overfeed the plants as the microbes help regulate how much the plants take in. You can also use epsom salts if you are having a magnesium deficiency. If you were just looking for stuff that you can mix with water and feed, im not 100% sure what youd use other than epsom salt for magnesium.

Yes it is possible ! That beeing possible is not a reason to do it ! If the reason is to do 100% by yourself then many recipes are available. If the reason is to keep it cheap then you can have everything your plants needs for less than 20$. Now 1/4 piss + 3/4 water will bring nitrogen , wood ash will bring potash, and phosphorus can be bring my milk , crushed egg shell for calcium and magnesium.
