I was able to top both of these at day 14 at the third node which is the earliest I've ever been able to top, and I also took off all the ready to explode new leaves, this is more severe than I've ever dared, but it just seemed right for these. This completely debunks the myth that topping and/or defoliating slows them down because this one is flowering at 4 weeks, just two weeks after topping! and clearly flowering at that, which is the earliest I've ever had flowers. I was in two minds about whether to put a net up because I never know how they are going to grow so I put up a light net that would not limit me too much if I needed to change it.
