Breeders estimate is always just that an estimate. I find most strains take a couple of weeks longer than suggested. And you will have to make that judgement later on.

I have heard many things about it too , so I've heard the 7th set of branches things , I've heard it's when the roots are hitting the bottom of the pot and start to settle the plant will flower soon. What I've experiment makes me says that autos are not on the same "line" when it comes to flowering , some are flowering pretty quick and some are giving you the time to train them , it's mostly genetic to me ( depending on the photoperiodic used for the cross )

used to NL feminised these would give a show of 2nd flush trichomes wait for them to die off then harvest DO Autoflowers do the same. or 1 long flush been waiting for them but nothing yet. Only 2 of plants on 11 weeks app finish. harvest will go over 4/5 weeks by the looks of it

@Shagrath, Is right , you must talk about pistols ( hairs , visible at 1st sight ) and the trichomes ( so small that you need a x40 magnifier to see if they are clear , cloudy or amber ). He is also right about the fact that you can have a 1st load of white pistols that are getting brown before you can see a second load of white pistols that will again turn brown. On the contrary the trichomes are 1st clear , then are turning cloudy/white and are finishing their life brown/amber

Do you mean the white pistils that turn brown? Then again new wave of pistils come and this happens for couple times before everything's ready? I don't think that trichomes will die off 'cos they just form and mature. They will mature in different times but never should they die If you mean the white hairs (Pistils) then yes I think autos would follow the same growing pattern probably.

Got my wording wrong to what you are used to my apologies. i call it a flush of trichomes on northern lights you would get a first lot of trichomes, these would die off then a second set of trichomes thicker than the first would appear do autos follow the same was what i was asking

I am taking pictures while waiting for the harvest . That mutation will not affect the taste , the effect , the yield or anything important for us growers. So don't worry and continue to take pictures of that mutation to show them to us

Polyploid flowers! People intentionally modified plants to have extra set of chromosomes. More flowers, grow faster, and resist desirable. I would feed her a little more than usual and look out for mold as the mug is a bit more dense. Also lay off seaweed.

One for you breeding guys using feminised seeds i always get two distinctly different plants different shape smell and taste Now with an autoflower as well i suspect two different plants coming from the same seed throw back in genetics. Either way handy if you get bored with one.

I'm a pollen chunker who know things about breeding ( I am doing some personal crosses ) . So each time you are growing the same strain you get 2 phenotyoes , it can happens when the palnt has not been stabilised enough , for example my pineaple express were all the same , my critical kush from barney's looks like every seeds is growing the same phenotype , but when I grew some amnesia I had many shapes , smells , and style o buds depending on each plants. So you can end up with similar plants if the strain is stable or differents style of plants if the strain is not. New growers and old growers can tell the same thing , sisters have genes in common but are not sharing the same genetic code or they would be twins , as long as they are not twins they are not similar , and are actually NOT THE EXACT SAME GENETIC , it's the exact same cross but not the exact same genes or you would not have any PHENOTYPES you would only have a TYPE which would have been the same for every plants from a same strain but it's not like that. The only way to have a stable genetic is to bring it to the F7 but at that generation ( the 7th generations ) you ca have plants that are 99% the same due to multiples crosses to keep a specific trait . Nowadays most of the strains are F1 or F3 , some are S1 which means self polinated and even with a self pollinated plant you are not sure to have a copy from your original plant but something close to. That said it's normal to see differents shape , siwe and smell on 2 plants from a same strain , the best exemple is the Cheese which is just a skunk phenotype ( is a cheese sharing the same exact genetics as the skunk ? NO ) With autos the plants are sharing the same ancestors ( a photo and an auto ) , but mostly after 3 generation which is enough to get something stable but not enough to get something super similar from a plant to another like a inbreed line ( more than F7 ) or a F7 stabilised strain. So to say it the simple way , you'll always have differents phenotypes even with stabilised strains , that said many companies are talling you how many phenotypes you can expect to find and which one is the one to hunt for
