(3/25--3/31). This week went really well. It's amazing how fast the autoflower plants grow in 1 day. I've never seen a plant grow so quickly. I have not used any nutrients so far.

Does this look like a normal size autoflower plant beginning in week 4? It popped out of the ground on march 4th and the first photograph is taken on march 6th during week 1. And the mast picture was taken today (3/27). It has been about 21 days total.

Yes, the plant looks great for 3 weeks. She is growing fast enough that I would probably do a light defoliation on a couple of the upper fan leaves. I see a few that are blocking budsites and if you can open them up to more light they will grow up even with the top and give you more top buds. Good luck in flower!

Should I defoliate a few fan leaves towards the bottom of the plant? She is very very wide and bushy. I feel like the bottom would produce some large branches and buds if there was more light penetrating. And there are so many leaves tucking only gets so much light through.

I regularly defoliate extra leaves that block light to new growing branches and interfere with the development of internodes. Don't forget that you grow inflorescences, not leaves, so you don't need to feel sorry for them! I often even remove the upper leaves so that they do not cast a shadow on the developing inflorescences
