Can't say I saw a great improvement in frostiness across the buds (Top mains anyway) but the Popcorn/newer growth buds lower down were as sticky as you like so possibly increased resin there.

Grow lights seemed to work great. 1000 watt HPS and MH. Have them in vented light but they still get hot. They kick off a lot of heat so the AC unit was busy.
