White Widow

Mold was the cause of a very reduced harvest. Yes, it rained all summer. Had to harvest before getting the trichomes to the cloudy stage. I don't know the effect of the high yet as I am still in the curing stage. 122 grams dry weight.

I'm a first time grower and the reason I am giving this strain a high score is because I started out thinking this was an auto and it turned out to be a photo. Lots of pH issues, lots of nitrogen issues, just lots of issues in general due to my lack of experience and this being my first time. I don't have a scale so I can't weigh what it is, but by the looks it's about 1.5 oz not a lot but enough to get high 😊 I tried the wet trim this time and it's drying right now so I can't comment on the taste. I will edit when it's done curing. #LearningCurve

Good run White widow looks great each stalk looks like it is one giant bud. I abused this girl the whole way but she did awesome. She is about 4-5 lbs wet. Barely any leaf its all flower.

Harvested plants dried. hung for 5 days and trimmed buds. 1st weight is 384.2g. I will burp bottles all week (2x day) then get a final weight. (62% boveda packs used). Burped 5 days and took second weight.

First grow & Loved it!

Easy to grow, strong resistance to disease, not finicky at all, and produces big, beautiful buds. I'm sure the burn will be amazing based on trichome development and her strong odor. Highly recommended for growers of all levels!

Somehow the white widow attract aphid like never before. It did not compromise the final harvest however it was alot of maintenance. Overall huge yeald and resiliant strains. I don't smoke so I will need to wait for some feedback

Easy strain not much stretch

It's my first grow, so I don't have a point of comparison. But all my White Widow plants survived all my newbie mistakes, and delivered a decent harvest, so I'm happy to recommend it.

Buds have that classic white widow icey look. Sticky tight buds look and smell delicious. Those batch of white widow genetics were quite honestly terrible to grow. One died in infancy, one hermed and this one was extremely sensitive to nutes and conditions. Keeping up with her temperament was like plugging holes in a dam

Pretty easy first grow.

This is White Widow by Crop King Seeds. Regardless of distributor, this is a classic favourite. Not my first time growing the Crop King version, and I am excited to eventually try other versions. Knowing that Widow tends to just bunch buds in clumps, I decided to actually try out sea of green method too. It wasn’t even a bad iteration, but the bud formation isn’t very favorable. The genetics don’t naturally want to give you one main crown. The smell and effects didn’t waver and came out as expected. So good! Coated in resin, sticky, musty/musky smelling classic White Widow. Really nice hybrid effect somewhere near the middle. Really good for mixing. I enjoy having the potency. Still didn’t yield an over-the-top amount despite the success, and the bud is just sort of classic. I will likely take a little break from this strain for awhile, I didn’t clone this one.

Harvest time for Crop King’s White Widow. I outlined in the first week this is not my first experience, in fact the strain in general regardless of distributor would be a recommend for new growers and for breeding stock. This was a regular clone that was gifted to me, and so I didn’t purchase the Crop King seeds. The only thing to note is the ability to get ravaged by pests as a clone, recover, and thats where I got it.... No issues in flowering other than overcrowding. One drawback of Widow, and the score of seven instead of eight, is its tendency to grow spindly branches, its very bushy, and produces little clumps of bud. In general, thats a pain, and it doesn’t work as well in a sea of green or small plant setup. However, its super durable and resistant, and consistent, and so its still valuable. Another great limiter with this grow was experimenting with lights, it only got ten hours of daylight for the first four weeks. This surely limited yield. Smell during growing is pungent, classic. I will say I rushed this plant and struggled to get leaf fade, and work through the soil amendment. I felt I wasn’t really able to bring the aromas out during flower. In terms of dried product, I’ve always found Widow takes quite some time to cure into a nice taste and is better left mixing anyway. It is like a classic cannabis/plant/herb smell, with some harsh overtones that go a but pine like or wood like, and sweet, as it fades to the CBD. I find this strain forms the base taste that strains like Super Silver Haze and Black Indica are similar too (in taste). Effects are really good as always, probably just slightly leaning indica, but its generally a wash. Again, great for mixing. The final verdict is this is one of my favourite strains, but it doesn’t like speed, and its a pain in the a** to trim. Its more bunches of bud that solid stalks. It is notable for having perhaps my favourite leaf shape of all the strains I’ve grown. However, I’m now looking to Widow crosses moving forward, to get the benefits of two. In addition, I got a handful of non developed seeds in the larf, and one developed seed (it appears). I did not clone, so that lone seed can be emergency. Also, my buddy who donated the clone has more Crop King Seeds, and widow strains from other distributors. I too am planning on growing a Widow mix soon.

Growing this strain was super easy, yes I went hardcore scientific and took care of it to the best of my abilities, it made it easy on me. It handled the topping, LST, light burn, nutrient burn, over-watering, under-watering, broken stems, stalks, ripped leaves, and everything else and recovered fast, and was only stunted in 1 plant for a week or two. An absolute champ of taking a beating but still produced some really good bud. Nice terps, Nice smooth flavour, cure and flush went great. 0 complaints at all, the only thing is that I got two different phenos which is not much of a complaint really. One grew denser with more terps but smaller, the other was more airy. 80g+ and about 130g+ off each plant respectively. Also crop king sent me replacement seeds even though the fuck up was mostly mine, really helped me a lot and kept me very happy. The bud is a very energetic, up, alert, creative high. I harvested in the early/middle of the ripeness. So there were no more than 10% amber maybe and about 90% cloudy. I love the high, and i vape it so there is some of the least burnout I've ever had.

Most notable was each of the four plants from the same seeds was uniquely different from the others. One plant was 6 inches taller than the others

100% germination rate with this white widow from crop king seeds never fails to please. The smoke is good for day or night. It amazes me to see how resilient this strain actually was in terms of handling temp & ph fluctuations along with over feeding on my part. This is a great strain to grow if you're trying to get your system dialed In & hone your skills on some super forgiving nugs. Takes well to cloning. The bud I produced with this strain has been really doing it for me these last few weeks and anybody I gave a sample gram too has had nothing but good things to say & they will continue to ask for more of the stuff. The buds are dense & smell earthy & fruity almost like a citrus with a little kick to it. The smoke is smooth & rich. I hang dried these girls in the dark for just under a week & then dry trimmed with my brother. My dry yield from these plants was pretty low at only 52.5 grams for 3 plants but I would guarentee that's not the genetics that's completely on me the grower. I have 3 more of these girls harvesting in a weeks time & I can already tell you they are better yielders than the last & I'm really happy I'm getting a second go with this bud because it is quality. 😎🌿🌺
