We continued watering her with JMS this week (a Korean Natural Farming recipe). We also moved some branches around with our LST ties to break her open a little bit and try to get a more even canopy.
I'm sick in bed today, so my SO took the pictures for once -- please excuse the shadows and feet :D
When I first put her in the ground, nearly all of her leaves were yellow and crispy. She is definitely starting to perk up a bit now, and that makes me happy as well.
Funny story:
This was a mother growing for nearly 1/2 a year so far, and we took a clone, but that clone was root rotted and I decided to trash it -- by dumping it upside down out of its pot behind my tool shed. I went back there yesterday and noticed it is still growing with like 2 hours of direct sunlight per day. We'll see what comes of that.
Side note:
Next week she will be 26 weeks old, and will not even finish vegetating before the maximum allowance of weeks by GrowDiaries -- 30. I guess we'll just add a bunch of "Week 30"s to the list. I wonder what GrowDiaries was smoking when they coded this site. Such an arbitrary number...
Nice! I grew some grease monkey clones last year. Definitely pungent flowers. You will know. I'm growing seeds from those plants this year - not the same, but I am hopeful.
This diary is a living example that one must maintain hope until the end π. The recovery of the Monkey Grease has been amazing. Will we witness, through this diary, how our sweet "Monkey" becomes a "Monster"? Stay tuned for the next chapters πππ§‘
Hey did you have any problems with pests? I transplanted my young plants and all the leaves were eaten within 2 hours. Do you have any idea how to fight them off?
30 week limit is likely indoor mentality. Growdiaries also used to not accept low temperatures below 10 C. Normal enough for indoor, but not for where some of us grow outdoors. But, yeah, 30 weeks of veg is pretty epic. Good luck the rest of the way.
@Northern_Ent, Yeah, I guess. I still don't understand the utility (apart from this limitation) of being able to add the same week number more than once.
But, GD gets more buggy with every update. The latest of which after last week's update is, if your account is set to use Imperial units and you edit a diary week, it converts all values to metric, and when you don't notice and save a few times, you have plants that are taller than most trees, lol.
But, I'll keep working around these issues like I have been for the past 3 years (had an old account, resimax).
Thanks for the luck -- I just might need it with this one!
