Well we are finally into the flower stage of the grow. One of my favourite times! Nows the time to take a break with the rigorous topping, training and (what felt like a weekly) heavy defoliations. Now all that is left to do is some minor tying down as the girls start their stretch and keep on top of the feedings. The plants will start to want more phosphorous now as opposed to large amounts of nitrogen as it was when in veg but I won't need to change much except top amend my soil a couple times with the same fish blood and bone and bat guano as the fish blood and bone is high is phosphorous. I did want to attempt a little experiment and put the ladies in darkness for 2 days as I have read that this can kick-start the flower process when put into a 12 12 light cycle. I took the opportunity to give the tent and equipment a good clean to ensure the flower process goes as smooth as possible. OK last thing! I did also give the girls a light defoliations on the top leaves to allow light through the canpoy because I know how this strain blows up and stretch! No sign of pistils yet but check out next week's post for some pistil porn. I've noticed I've had about 60 views on this diary but not very many likes :(.
