Purkles RP Sour Diesel Quantum Boards

Week 7 is over and the buds beautifully sticky and frosty and the aroma has really come through with a pungeant scent of something sweet but also gassy. I got a few photos to show the amount of trichome heads they have and they are completely covered in them. You really start to notice subtle differences amongst phenotypes when the buds come through. I could tell from early veg stage that these had different dominant genes. To give you a bit of backgroun this strain of Sour Diesel from Reserva Privada is a cross between ’91 Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk/NL x DNL. Its a cross between some old school gentetics which you may struggle to find seeds of these days. But to break it down its a Chemdog crossed with a certain super skunk strain of which that hybrid was crossed with a particular Northern Lights hybrid. 3 of my favourite strains all rolled into one. Pheno 1 is definitely showing more of the northern lights influence with the top sugar leaves turning a light green and the sweet frutier aroma is more prominent over the gassy and lemon smell you get from the chemdog side. Pheno 2 - the Slow Girl - shows more what I say is 'Sour Diesel' traits with an even distribution of all 3 genetics in the way it its aroma comes across with a more prominant gassy smell at first with a good tinge of the sweeter smell but both Phenos growing bulbous golf ball shaped buds even with the lower buds forming nice round buds. I havent had a chance to get the jewelers loop out yet to have a look at them but you can kind of see from the pictures that most are clear but also a few milky looking trichomes dotted around but chances are I will see a lot more under the loop. The girls got their first flush after a good period as I wanted to make sure the soil was nice and dry. They got around 40 litres of water flushed through each of them and can already see Pheno 2 'the Slow Girl' starting her fade in a few of the leaves. Im looking forward to seeing the signature yellow Fall colours come through and will be taking plenty of pictures in the last few weeks. Next round I will be doing a week by week time lapse video and have a final video with all combined. For now I will just be water feeding thise week when dry (I let my girls get a bit wilted before a feed) to ensure the plants use up all remaining nutrients in the soil and themselves. I will also be be defoliating a couple times a week as the leaves start to turn yellow and die off but will document it as I go along to capture the lush colours that come through.
