Poison is the Antidote

In preparation for Week 1, we spent some time during germination to clean the grow tent and equipment. We wiped down the fans, lights and inside of the tent with a mild disinfectant. We test ran all the equipment, set timers and schedules and just generally ensured that everything was in good working order. Day 1: - Both seeds have officially burst forth into the light! - Light intensity is at approximately 5,000 LUX inside the humidity domes. Day 2: - RH: 74% - Temp: 78F Day 3: - RH: 73% - Temp: 79F - Turned on 6" oscillating fan at top of tent - Exhaust fan set to run at minimum speed when temperature reaches 80F or relative humidity reaches 75% Day 4: - RH: 68% - Temp: 76F - Turned on 6" fan at bottom of tent for approximately 8hrs. We'll slowly be introducing this fan to the seedlings to help promote strong stems, running it for 8hrs per day for the next week or so before leaving it on full-time during "lights-on". - Turned on humidifier, on low setting - Lowered Sunblaster LED strips to approximately 24" above seedlings, providing around 9,800 LUX. We'll keep a close eye on the seedlings and will back off the lights if there are signs of stress. Day 5: - RH: 74% - Temp: 79F - lowered the intensity of the humidifier, to try and stay under 75% RH. Day 6: - we decided to adjust our light schedule. We're sticking with 18/6 but we previously had our lights-off scheduled for 6am-12pm. We've changed that to lights-off being between 12pm-6am. To do this, we let the two Sunblaster LED's turn off 6am (for the last time) but kept the Elite 360 fixture on. So these girls ended up getting a bit of a break at their usual time, but ultimately ended up getting 32hrs of light. We hope this won't cause too much stress but the timeframes work much better for us now. Day 7: - RH: 73% - Temp: 78F - watered Plant #1 with very small amount of water, approximately 50ml
